My GW19 Team

Chihuahua's Team

Well GW18 was a surprise. Like the last time I took a hit a few weeks back my team did very well. Captain Ibra scored 30 points; Antonio, Carroll, Eriksen, Yaya, Alonso & Cech all got returns and I scored 87 compared to an average of just 54.

With this week I have so many thoughts and players under consideration but it is Mane that I am selling because of the Afcon. His replacement is Pogba for my free transfer. His form has improved and the last few games when he has got returns; he could’ve got so much more. I think that with the Ibra partnership this is a good move for my team.

Captain is Ibra because on form there isn’t anyone better at the moment. Good luck all!

Well, the last week was completely crap. I scored 43 in an average week of 49 which was hard to take; scoring six points below the average score. Pickford clean sheet and a Mane masterclass are the only two things that made me half smile. Blanks everywhere else just hurt, like badly hurt.

This week I wasn’t making a move but suspension to Fuchs and Evans no being back are plain an clear to which means I panic bought, I got in Ibrahimovic/Yaya Toure/Alonso and sold Kane/Mahrez/Fuchs for a -8. Now I know that’s a big hit but I feel they are upgrades across the park and the mossed points already have show you need to.p be quick when fixing a team.

Kane wasn’t scoring, Mahrez was just as bad and Fuchs couldn’t keep a clean sheet if his life depended on it. Alonso is a wing back who provides an attacking threat, Yaya with Gundogan out will be relied on more and Zlatan is bossing it at the moment and with those games it is too hard to to ignore the big Swede any longer.

As for my team this week it pretty much picks itself with Zlatan captain and a decent bunch. I was tempted to use the AOA and play Barrow over Amat but I decided not too I’m the end.

Merry Christmas all ❄️🎄🎅⛄️ @FPLCHI

My GW 17 team and a review on GW 16

Chihuahua's Team

I learned a few lessons this week; but before I get in to that let me look back at last week and how my team did. So I scored 59 (-4) in an average week of 48 which gave me a score of seven more than the average after my hit.

Starting from the back Cech and Arsenal conceded again which is becoming a frustrating and disappointing situation when thinking about the amount he has cost me. Clyne got attacking returns and a clean sheet; it’s what I expected from him when I got him in ages ago but it’s a real shame that only now he has given me something for trusting in him. Evans didn’t play through injury and Daniels came off the bench to get returns again! Lastly Fuchs did not do anything, again. I Set up my defenders to have a dual purpose with attacking threats and while in large that didn’t work it has at times and can. My midfield scored pretty much nothing between them again besides Alexis and Eriksen who was a shrewd signing. All of my strikers unluckily blanked including captain Kane. I’ve not had the best captain picks of late but this week I’m keeping it simple.
Back to the lessons learned; I was at the Albion game as I usually am and despite playing further back Chris Brunt was phenomenal again. His crossing and attacking play is superb and I’ve said for over a year if he was a defender I’d get him in regardless of cost and now that he is and fit I’m putting my money where my mouth is. Despite playing United this week my transfer in is Chris Brunt and out goes Clyne. It frees up a bit of money too which was nice!

My team pretty much picks itself with three big calls which see Carroll, Cech & Barrow on the bench. The former and latter have great games but Andy has only just come back from injury and having played THREE days ago and the majority of the game too; I can’t see him starting. Same goes for Barrow, looked great for the Swans when he came on against us but another chance of being rested. As for Cech; the point about him not keeping clean sheets and them facing City is enough for me to go for Pickford. Captain Kane again; despite being tempted by Mahrez, Mane, Alexis and Eriksen!

GW16 team and a reflection on GW15

Chihuahua's Team

Ok so 15 was the opposite of the week before and was completely crap for me with blanks across the board and a score of 42 in an average week of 46.

The less said the better but two players who I’ve wanted to ship for a while in Capoue & Firmino are out (-4) with Antonio & Mahrez in. Firmino has been crap since his shift out wide and despite his game against Boro it’s time for me to cash in with Mahrez on my radar. With a goal or assist in 3 of his last 4 the Algerian like most of his team mates are finally pulling in to gear and with his ownership being relatively low I hope I’ve cashed in at the right time. Same with Antonio; a constant threat and a bargain at his price with those games.

This week my team picks itself with Kane as captain as planned before I got him in week before last. The only gripe I have is that I have a niggling feeling my Mahrez move could be a great option but I’m staying firm. Switching to a 352 with Daniels first sub for his attacking threat enough to give him that number one spot should he be required.

My GW 15 team & a review on GW 14

Chihuahua's Team

Game week 14 was a great week for me. I wasn’t home the morning of the deadline and having already used on of my free transfers on getting Austin in for Lukaku; I wasn’t quite sure what to do. Harry Kane signing his new deal and his upcoming run of games enticed me enough to get him in for Aguero who hadn’t been looking so hot despite him being fixture proof. With the City rotation and Spurs upcoming games I decided to go with my gut and get Kane for Kun. This move freed up enough funds to let me upgrade the woeful Gundogan; i decided to take the minus four and bring in Eriksen. I captained Kane and the team pretty much picked itself.

Kane and Eriksen scored very well indeed and it made me great fun for going with my gut instinct; Evans scoring too was a nice touch. The only shame was Alexis doing incredibly well and only being my vice captain. I scored 94 in a week that only averaged 50 so this helped my rise in all my leagues.

This week I planned on saving my transfer because there are a lot of players on my wish list; including Ibrahimovic, Costa, Siggy, Tadic & Alonso. But the injury to Austin who was a long term pick for me messed up my plans. I replaced him with Andy Carroll  which was a hesitant move because last season he didn’t do to well and got injured quite quickly. But he plays his former side Liverpool this week and then goes on to play Burnley & Hull in back to back home games before then facing Swansea (A) which as fixtures go is as good as it gets. West Ham are in trouble and need points quickly; with Zaza failing to impress and Ayew getting injured; this is a make or break moment in the Geordies career. If he plays well enough to keep a starting role and can steer away from injuries he’s a talented lad.

My team this week picks itself again; Evans over Amat the only real decision. The Swans are struggling to keep a clean sheet and the Baggies can block out any team in the league so for me it wasn’t that difficult. Captaincy goes to Alexis ‘the man in form’ Sanchez; despite Firmino & Mane being interesting picks. Good luck all!
